Packaging Builder

Change the pack. Watch the fee move.

Most EPR tools tell you what you owe. Packaging Builder helps you owe less. Pick a product you have already loaded, say what matters most, and Oblifee proposes a redesign: materials, target weights, kerbside acceptance in each market, and the fee difference, re-priced against the same cited rates as your dashboard.

Cereal carton, 500 g Illustration
Carton board 210 g 210 g
PE inner liner 14 g 14 g
Shelf-ready outer, per unit 63 g 63 g
Past roughly 25% the liner stops protecting the product. Packaging Builder flags limits like this as risks to check, rather than quietly optimising past them.

Illustrative only, at 120,000 units a year against the cited GB base rates for paper and plastic. In your workspace the same calculation runs on your products, your volumes and every market you sell into.

How it works

Four steps, and the last one is the point: nothing is a guess at a number. Every fee in the concept comes from the same cited rates that drive your dashboard.

Pick a product

Search by SKU, name, category or business. It uses the packaging components and despatch volumes already in your workspace, so there is nothing new to type.

Say what matters

Cut fees and cost, lightweight, maximise recyclability, reduce single-use plastic, or balanced. The goal changes what gets traded away.

Add artwork, optionally

Attach a photo, render or dieline. Obli reads what the design reveals about construction and keeps the concept true to your brand look.

Get a costed concept

Materials, target weights, kerbside verdicts per market, a validation checklist, risks to check, and the annual fee difference at your real volumes.

Steer it by what your business actually needs

The same pack has different best answers depending on what you are optimising for. Choose the goal, and the concept changes with it.

Five goals: cut fees and cost, lightweight, maximise recyclability, reduce single-use plastic, or balanced.

What comes back

A proposed build

Component by component: keep, change, add or remove, with the material and a target weight for each, and the construction written out.

Kerbside acceptance, per market

Judged against the schemes' own rules, not a rule of thumb.

The fee difference

Annual EPR impact at your current volumes and current cited rates. Eco-modulation bonuses are deliberately not applied, so qualifying can only improve on the figure shown.

Risks and a checklist

What could go wrong with the change, and what to validate before anyone commits tooling to it.

A picture of the pack

Attach your artwork and Oblifee can draw the proposed pack from it, so the change is something you can look at rather than only read. It is an illustration, and it says so.

A PDF to send on

The whole concept as one document, with the rates it was priced against and the date they were read, ready for your converter or your board.

What it is not

A redesign concept is not a manufacturing specification. Validate materials, weights, closures and product compatibility with your packaging converter before changing anything. Packaging Builder is built to make that conversation shorter and better informed, not to replace it.

Figures are estimates from your data and currently cited EPR rates. Where a rate is illustrative or estimated rather than confirmed, it stays labelled that way, here as everywhere else in Oblifee.

Packaging Builder is included in every plan. Load a product, pick a goal, and read the concept in about a minute.
